Dan DuBois



Seth Norris

Director, Paid Media

A ZOG veteran, Seth has over 13 years of industry experience. He’s worked with clients such as Disney/ESPN/ABC, Coca-Cola, KitchenAid, and P.F. Chang’s. Seth optimizes integrated media through search engines and social platforms, while also running our affiliate marketing solution.

Seth was raised in northern New Mexico and moved to Arizona in 2000. His hobbies include spending time with his fiancé and their pooch, watching the Seattle Seahawks, and listening to the Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam. He firmly believes the Seahawks should have ran the ball with Beast Mode in Super Bowl XLIX, and he will not let this rest.

Jeff Herzog

Founder, ZOG Digital
Advisor to the CEO

Jeff built ZOG Digital on a culture of passion and integrity, with a focus on results, not time sheets. In the fall of 2017, ZOG Digital was acquired by Investis, and Jeff now serves as an advisor to the CEO.

Before Google was Google, Jeff founded another leading digital agency, iCrossing, and as its CEO built it into one of the most influential marketing companies in the world (it sold to Hearst Media for $325M in 2010). Jeff’s won numerous industry awards and accolades, including NY Times Innovator of the Year, Phoenix Business Journal’s Tech Titan, and B2B Magazine’s “Who’s Who” in Business. He was also a finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

A New Jersey native, he earned his BA from American University, and now resides in Phoenix with his wife, daughters, and dogs. He has what we can only describe as a weird obsession with a healthy lifestyle, and can often be found hiking and trail running with his iPhone.

Erin Bartynski

Senior Content Strategist

Erin is a content and social media marketing expert. She has nearly a decade of experience connecting brands to their audiences, from fashion houses to food and beverage giants. She thrives on the fact that media trends are always changing, and loves to stay one creative step ahead.

Erin’s from Wisconsin, but after graduating from the University of Minnesota with a BA in Journalism, she traded Midwest winters for the warm Phoenix desert. She enjoys hiking, going to concerts with her fiancé, and spoiling her two dogs to the point of absurdity. She always has her headphones on, so we’ve taken the hint and just send her texts.

Don Scales

Global CEO, Investis

With more than 30 years of digital experience, Don oversees the company’s global business. Prior to joining Investis, Don led global operations at interactive agencies iCrossing and Agency.com. In 2010, he was named by OMMA Magazine as one of its "Online All Stars" in the Media category. BtoB Magazine also named him one of the top 25 "Who’s Who" newsmakers for 2000-2005, and a "Who’s Who in Search" in 2009.

Don sits on the board of The Beacon Group, a leader in growth strategy consulting for Fortune 500. He was also a member of the Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas. He has dual undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Mathematical Physics, and a master of science in chemical engineering from Rice University. He also has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Outside of work, Don enjoys keeping up with his favorite sports teams with a glass of wine.

Drew Schmidt

Director, Strategy

Drew has decades of professional marketing experience — including 11 years agency side — with a client portfolio ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He delivers strategic analyses of consumer experiences and brand interaction.

Born, raised, and educated in the Windy City, Drew enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, arguing about Chicago pizza, recapturing his youth through skateboarding, and street art. He’s admired for his ability to be personally offended by broad social trends.

Jason Squardo

Chief Operating Officer

Jason launched his career as one of the original members of iCrossing. With over two decades of direct SEO experience, he’s managed the digital strategy of many leading brands, including American Airlines, FedEx, Sears, Bank of America, Nine West, General Motors, Toyota, and MasterCard.

Jason earned a BA in Business Administration from Arizona State University. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, off-roading, and catching as many ASU games and concerts as possible.

Rachael Zahn

Senior Vice President, Client Services

Don’t let this Virginia farm girl fool you. Rachael has more than 15 years of digital strategy and marketing experience, specializing in helping clients drive significant change in visibility, leads, engagement, and revenue. Her entrepreneurial attitude and straight-shooter style has brought success to both Fortune 500 and start-up companies.

Rachael loves a good adventure, especially hauling her two kids off-the-grid to jet-set across the country. She also loves a good challenge, like growing a garden in the desert, and fitting hot yoga into the 25th hour of her day.

Michael Ristvedt

Director of Paid Social

Mike is a founding member of Facebook’s Agency Partner Program and holds certifications in Google AdWords Fundamental, Advanced Search, and Advanced Display. With a proven track record in assisting companies in their social media strategy, he works to develop effective campaigns backed by research and analytics that drive successful results.

Born in Minnesota, he attended Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor in Interdisciplinary Studies, Marketing and Media. When the Minnesota Vikings aren’t on TV, he can be found upside down on a wakeboard, reelin’ in 30” walleye, or fist-pumping the night away. Skol Vikes!

Ryan Pesch

Vice President, Client Services

Ryan specializes in client advocacy, developing a deep understanding of a brand’s goals and needs and developing the comprehensive solutions to meet them. With a decade in the digital services industry, his experience includes managing accounts such as Rayovac, Waste Management, Fortinet, and NextCare Urgent Care.

Ryan is joined at the hip with his partner-in-crime Kona, a 95lb chocolate lab. A graduate of University of West Florida, he’s made SCUBA diving his passion, completing over 350 dives all over the world. He’ll never admit how much time he spends working on his aquarium.

Thomas Stern

Chief Revenue Officer

Thomas oversees the architecture and evolution of our service lines. He also drives the agency’s technology offering, with direct oversight of the third-party tools used, and the ideation, planning, and development of proprietary technology. Thomas has held board positions at SEMPO Arizona, is an active contributor to Search Engine Land, and holds degrees in Internet Marketing and Strategic Communications from The University of San Francisco and The University of Kansas.

Thomas enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. He considers himself a connoisseur of the finer things in life, like coffee, craft beer, and pizza, so we just let him go on believing that.

Whitney Hart

Senior Vice President of Strategy

Whitney oversees the strategy department at ZOG Digital and brings nearly a decade of experience building integrated strategies and executing programs for international clients. Prior to her tenure at ZOG, she worked within and led business development and account teams at Jack Morton Worldwide in New York, Weber Shandwick in London, and Edelman in Mexico City. She’s worked with brands such as Fruit of the Loom, Russell Athletic, Hotwire, Wyndham, the NBA, PepsiCo, and Samsung.

Whitney was educated at Trinity College and the London School of Economics. She’s lived in four countries, and moved to Phoenix in 2012 from Mexico City with her fiancé and two cats. Our resident expert on wine and mezcal, she’s equally passionate about travel and modern art. Her love of all things feline is unparalleled in the office, and while a supporter of our dog-focused workplace, is convinced we’ll host a Bring Your Cat to Work day, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Michael Aguiar

Director of Technology

Michael leads IT and software development for our internal teams and Fortune 500 clients. He’s delivered award-winning work for brands such as Disney, Nissan, Fruit of the Loom, and Panasonic.

Michael has an AAS in Information Technology / Software Applications and Programming. As father to two insanely energetic boys — and two gigantic dogs — he’s justifiably obsessed with coffee. He enjoys playing sports, hiking, and geeking out on Game of Thrones.

Sam Colson

Director of Display Advertising

Sam leads our programmatic team, managing campaigns for clients such as Pep Boys, Fruit of the Loom, and KitchenAid. He takes pride in staying up to date on ad tech trends and testing new tactics, and is constantly seeking out best-in-class solutions to exceed clients’ marketing needs. He’s Google Analytics, AdWords, DoubleClick, and DataXu certified.

Sam moved to Arizona after graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University. He loves to explore new areas around the state and go on quick weekend getaways. He’s known to show off his so-so golf skills on the weekends, and we’re all grateful for the beautiful year-round weather —  plenty of practice time.

JD Metz

Director, Business Development

JD has spent more than a decade in digital marketing, with an expertise in on- and off-page SEO, digital PR, and content marketing. He’s been fortunate to work with prominent brands including Intuit, Walmart, and Wayfair. The ASU grad brings a surprisingly pragmatic approach to strategy, tactics, and measurement, centered on driving results.

He loves spending time with his family, especially his fiancée (wife, if read after May 2017!), step-son, and dog, no matter what the activity or adventure. He confounds us all by racing motocross, and recently became the 2016 AMA Arenacross West Region Champion for Riders over 30.

Sarah Krznarich

Director of Content Strategy

Sarah’s a seasoned content strategist who’s passionate about making brands more human. She’s led initiatives in wide-ranging industries, including entertainment, hospitality, higher education, finance, and publishing. Her case studies have appeared in both user experience and content strategy books.

Sarah lives in Phoenix with her husband, son, and two unusually strong dogs. She enjoys crime procedurals and quietly judging your grammar.

Chris Moreno

Vice President, Paid Media

With close to a decade of experience, Chris leads our integrated paid media services. He’s pioneered new ground for industry-leading brands by innovating, creating, and implementing immersive and experiential media strategies that adapt to the constant change in technology and consumer behaviors. He believes a media plan is one part of what it takes to help brands connect with their consumers and build trust and loyalty.

Chris is one of the few Arizona natives in our office, so he’s constantly looking for excuses to visit friends, family, and clients anywhere outside the Valley of the Sun. Seriously, call him. He’ll go anywhere.

Henry Ebarb

Senior Director, Client Services

Henry provides account direction and client engagement across our solutions. He’s passionate about all aspects of digital marketing, and obsessed with new technology. Henry’s focus is on ROI-driven success for clients and finding new opportunities in the endless digital ocean.

Henry spends time working with his wife and daughter on their own passion projects, as well as adventuring across the state. He studied Music Theory & Composition and Political Theory at NAU, earning a BS in Political Science, and most recently earned his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He spent time as a professional musician, but despite our best efforts we cannot get him to air guitar in the office.

Rowan Harper

Senior Director, Client Services

With a background rooted in site programming, Rowan interestingly transitioned from technical expert to client advocate. He spends his days exceeding client expectations and overseeing their digital success. Brands such as Verizon Wireless, Oakley, LG, and Motorola have all benefitted from his engaging style.

By way of South Africa, Rowan graduated from Oregon State University. He spends as much time as he can get away with hitting the beaches and golf courses in Southern California, sunning alongside his wife Crystal, and children Cameron and Luke. He’s also daddy to the two cuddliest Golden Doodles on the planet. Do not argue this fact.

Kyle Clifford

Chief Client Officer & Managing Director

Kyle oversees client success and company folklore. He’s well known for his work with such brands as IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, Allstate, A.O. Smith, KitchenAid, Toyota, National Geographic, Bvlgari, Capitol One, IMG Sports Academy and the US Treasury Department. Prior to his leadership here, he held key positions at The Arizona Republic & azcentral.com. He currently presides over the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) board of Arizona.

Kyle has a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He likes to spend time with his wife Lindsay and two sons, Jack and Brody, cycle as much as possible and is a passionate supporter of America’s troops. His office is best described as a shrine to skateboards, Pearl Jam, Nike, and the latest tech toys.

Erik Solan

Director, Paid Media

Erik leads the search team with an integrated approach, which includes identifying and applying best practices, and strategic planning across search, social, and programmatic efforts. His team’s analytics and reporting conveys how digital budgets are affecting bottom-line ROI across all tactics.

Erik enjoys life with the fam – camping, smoking meat & tipping ales, and wondering when LEGO sets got so expensive. His patronus is Tom Waits.

Mark Healey

Vice President, Search Engine Optimization

Mark joined ZOG Digital in 2012 as an SEO analyst, and he’s led the department ever since. He actively oversees teams dedicated to delivery of on-page, off-page, local, and search content, as well as reputation management work. He’s passionate about data-driven SEO and is an early adopter of the latest industry tools and technologies. He’s worked for brands like Allstate, Amtrak, Wyndham Vacation Rentals, Sunbelt Rentals, and CarMax.

Born and raised in Jenison, MI, he graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH where he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Swim Team. Mark enjoys visiting family back in Michigan, hanging out with his dog Pierce, and exhausting us all by repeatedly besting his Camelback twice-over hike time.

Paul Headley

Senior Strategist

As Senior Strategist, Paul helps tell integrated digital stories from the consumer’s point of view. He’s an expert at blending data through an omni-channel lens to create custom digital strategy plans for clients.

Paul’s a humble man with the beard to match. He enjoys the occasional trip to Flagstaff, AZ, to throw discs, stay in hostels, and frequent local watering holes. He’s continuously honing his hide-and-seek, somersault, and homework skills to keep-up with his kids.

Austin Lemme

Chief Creative Officer

As one of our co-founders, Austin brings with him two decades of individuality, innovative creative production, and visual communication. He’s best known for his award-winning web design and development for brands including Coca-Cola, Hyundai, Bank of America, Fruit of the Loom, and Hotwire. He spent more than a decade leading the creative department at iCrossing, where he also began as one of the company’s first employees.

In his spare time, Austin hikes, bikes, skates, and is always on the lookout for adventure. He’s strangely proud of the fact that he’s the same person he was at 20. Bring coffee if you need to speak to him.
